The latest edition of Gazzetta dello Sport carries the following headline this morning:
"Milan, a slow return. Extended holidays: Rabiot and Maignan to join Amorim after Ferragosto.”
The two French players were expected at Milanello on Wednesday, when the entire squad will resume training following the days off granted by Ruben Amorim at the end of the tour of Australia and Indonesia.
Adrien Rabiot and Mike Maignan have been given a few extra days of holiday, and the contrast with their fellow French internationals stands out, with players such as Marcus Thuram, Maghnes Akliouche and Kylian Mbappé already back at work with their respective clubs. The midfielder and goalkeeper will therefore only return to training on Sunday, exactly one week before Milan’s Serie A opener away to Torino.
