Milan have pulled off another major signing in the transfer market. The Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Strasbourg for Diego Moreira to join the club.

The deal is worth €50 million guaranteed, with a significant package of bonuses and a substantial percentage of the player’s future resale also included.

Jorge Mendes once again plays a key role in the deal

Once again, as was the case with Gonçalo Ramos, Jorge Mendes, who is also Moreira’s agent, has played a key role in the operation, writes MilanPress.it. The negotiations have been defined and concluded between the two clubs, with only the final bureaucratic approvals remaining before the transfer can be officially completed. Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto reported the news on their YouTube channel.

RB Leipzig and Roma had also made moves for the player. In July, the Giallorossi had received a €70 million asking price from Strasbourg for the Belgian’s departure. Milan, however, managed to reach an agreement based on €50 million guaranteed, plus significant bonuses and a sizeable percentage of any future resale.

Moreira’s arrival could also reignite the outgoing transfer market. The hottest name remains Rafael Leao, with Galatasaray still strongly interested. The Turkish club continue to monitor the situation, but it remains to be seen whether they will actually make a decisive move for the Portuguese forward.
