Speaking to Sky Sport 24, journalist Luca Marchetti discussed Rafael Leao’s future, with the Portuguese forward having emerged as a target for Aston Villa in recent hours:
“Regarding the Leao-Aston Villa situation, we know that the intermediaries and lawyers handling the Leao matter are currently advising the English club to increase its offer both to Milan and to the player. The Villans’ objective would be to secure Leao’s initial agreement and then return to negotiations with Milan, who continue to demand at least €50 million for the Portuguese forward. The Rossoneri have never moved from this asking price."
“Despite the slowdown compared to last night, Aston Villa have started to make progress again. At the moment, between Galatasaray and Aston Villa, I would say the English club are ahead. Milan’s final week of the transfer window will revolve around the Leao situation.”
