The new Rossoneri talent Alphadjo Cisse spoke to MilanNews.it minutes ago during a meeting with fans at the Via Dante store. Here are his words:
"Over the past few days, I’ve tried to reply to all the messages I’ve received, but I’m already trying to take the next step and focus on the next match. The number 70? I chose it because number 80 was already taken."
PSV first, then Milan:
"Actually, my relationship with the coach is very positive. He has had faith in me and in all the other young players, so it’s easier for me to express myself at my best. In January, everything was almost done with PSV, then Milan came in and I immediately changed my mind. It was easy to choose this club."
"There was a possibility of going out on loan, but the coach always gave me the opportunity to express myself on the pitch and I managed to take it. Staying here is a great emotion. Milan are one of the biggest clubs in the world. My surname? It is pronounced and written Cisse, without the accent."
The Catanzaro director nicknamed you a phenomenon:
"Director Ciro was fundamental for me at Catanzaro. He is a great person and a great man. What he gave me was a huge source of support. The national team? I’m not thinking about that because I’m focused on Milan and the matches. When and if the time comes, I’ll be available."
Learning and taking something from every training session... Cisse said:
"This is a time to take things from and learn from the many players who are here. In every training session, I try to learn something valuable from one of my teammates."
Ambrosini says you resemble Robinho...
"I can’t say, I didn’t watch him play much, but if he says so, then that’s fine (laughs, ed.)."
Are you afraid of the competition?
"Not now, I’m not afraid at all. I think competition is good for everyone. If Chris has to play in my place, there will be respect. The ambition is to learn as much as possible from everyone. I’m not at my best yet. I’m coming back from a long-term injury and the match against Torino was only my fourth game. I still have plenty of time to find my best condition, but I’m working hard and I feel good."
