AC Milan’s new young defender Sankhoun Diawara spoke to Milan News the Via Dante Store.
Here is an excerpt from the words of the new Rossoneri centre-back:
"When I found out that the club wanted to sign me, I was satisfied, happy and also a little surprised. Even though I was quite young, I have always admired Alessandro Nesta, which is why I chose his number. Another great defender was, of course, Paolo Maldini."
Diawara added:
"I feel comfortable on the ball, but I see myself as an aggressive defender who is good in aerial duels. During this transfer window, I was also approached by other clubs, but I was so happy about Milan’s interest that it took me very little time to decide and choose the Rossoneri. I can’t wait to experience San Siro, which is a legendary and incredible stadium. I hope to get some playing time."
