Training will resume after the win against Lecce and the rest day granted by Ruben Amorim's staff. The players who remained in Milan will return to training tomorrow morning.
After more than a week, the coach will therefore resume work with a reduced group: 15 Rossoneri players are away on international duty and, together with Nico Paz of Como, they make Milan the Serie A club with the highest number of players called up by their national teams, as relayed via 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' in this morning's print edition.
The coach, however, will still be able to work with some first-team regulars who have not joined their respective national squads. In defence, Mario Gila is available, as Spain did not call him up, and Milan are keen for him to regain his best condition.
Other key players have also remained at Milanello, including Saelemaekers, who lost his place in the Belgium squad to another Rossoneri player, Moreira, as well as Pulisic, who was not called up by the United States. That omission will give Chris the opportunity to focus on recovering his ideal physical condition after a difficult start to the season.
