Christian Pulisic and Milan have never been this close to renewing his contract, which is set to expire in June 2027, with an automatic renewal option in favour of the Rossoneri until 2028. The club led by Gerry Cardinale, however, wants to extend the agreement directly without activating the clause, further strengthening the relationship of mutual trust with the American forward, who returned to scoring in Serie A after just under a year against Lecce.
Pulisic's latest words:
"I can only say that I am very happy in Milan and at Milan at the moment, and also for the near future. I am not thinking about the renewal, but I am very happy here and I want to continue here in Milan. Are we talking about the renewal? Yes. I am very happy at Milan. The club is giving me everything and has helped me a lot. Now I am focused on playing. We will talk about it, hopefully soon. I feel really good and I hope to stay at Milan," as relayed via Calcio Mercato.
According to the latest information provided by Matteo Moretto on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, important contacts are expected between now and the end of the year in order to reach the signing stage, not only for Pulisic but also for Rabiot, another key player in Amorim's team.
"With Pulisic, the talks actually started quite some time ago. Then a few obstacles led to a negative outcome up to now, but Cardinale wants to accelerate things and wants to resolve this matter."
