The weekend break is over, and preparations will resume today with a clear objective in mind. This is the week that marks the return to competitive action, with an away trip to Sassuolo, a European trip to Salzburg, and a whole series of other fixtures coming in quick succession.
In recent days, Milanello has been a rather quiet place, with only a small group of players present: goalkeepers Pietro Terracciano and Lorenzo Torriani; defenders Mario Gila, Matteo Gabbia, Filippo Terracciano, Fikayo Tomori and Sankhoun Diawara; Christian Comotto and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield; and Christian Pulisic and Omari Hutchinson among the forwards, writes 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'.
Between tomorrow and Wednesday, the squad will begin to fill up again. Pavlovic and Gonçalo Ramos, who were in action for their national teams yesterday, will be among the first to return. The French internationals Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot, the Belgians Diego Moreira and Koni De Winter, and Italy Under-21 players Davide Bartesaghi, Francesco Camarda and Alphadjo Cisse are all in action today and are therefore expected back tomorrow.
Luka Modric and Ardon Jashari have their final international commitments scheduled for tomorrow evening, meaning they are due back at Milanello on Wednesday. Samuel Chukwueze, Pervis Estupiñán and Yunus Musah, the only players returning from intercontinental travel, are also expected to resume training alongside the rest of the squad.
