Tomorrow Gerry Cardinale will be at Milanello, while on Sunday he will take his seat in the stands at the Mapei Stadium to be close to his Milan, who are expected to make a strong restart when the league resumes. The RedBird chief's commitments over the coming days go beyond the pitch, however. In fact, they will mainly take place away from Milanello and the team.

Cardinale and the contract renewals at AC Milan:
With the Skydance operation in play, Cardinale has focused heavily on matters outside football over the past three weeks, but now he will take stock with his associates of the contract extensions for the players in the squad. The priorities are to renew the agreements with Pulisic, Rabiot and Pavlovic.
The American's contract expires on June 30, although the club actually has an option to unilaterally extend the agreement until 2028. To maintain a close relationship with Captain America, the intention is to reach a new agreement by the end of January, as pointed out via La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition.
Pavlovic, coming off an important season and being closely monitored by several Premier League clubs, needs to be tied down with a salary increase. Rabiot will also be offered a longer and more lucrative contract.
The players concerned are aware of the club's desire to continue together and have expressed their intention to keep wearing the Rossoneri shirt.
Cardinale will now work out the strategy with his team, and the first meetings with the players' agents will take place by the next international break.
In addition to that, Alphadjo Cisse deserves a separate discussion. If he continues to perform at this level until the end of the season, he will be rewarded with a contract extension and, above all, a pay rise, having signed in January when he was still in Serie B, on loan from Verona to Catanzaro.
