Milan’s contract renewal plan has moved into full swing. Strahinja Pavlovic kicked off the series of extensions yesterday, signing his new contract with the Rossoneri at the club’s headquarters in the afternoon. His deal has therefore been extended from the summer of 2028 to 2031, with an option for an additional year.

Part of the squad since the summer of 2024, Pavlovic has made 80 appearances and scored seven goals for Milan. He arrived from Salzburg, whom he will face as an opponent tomorrow. The official announcement will come later today, when Pavlovic is also scheduled to take part in other off-field activities. In the evening, he will join Amorim at the press conference ahead of the Europa League clash, as pointed out via La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition.
With this contract extension, Milan are rewarding Pavlovic for his consistent performances, even during the team’s most difficult periods. Pavlovic has also become a reliable presence in Amorim’s side, an indispensable left-footed member of the back three (or a centre-back in a back four), thanks to his physicality and character.
After Pavlovic, Milan aiming for more renewals:
His signature will set off a chain of renewals: the club also intends to extend the contracts of Pulisic and Rabiot in the near future. Chris’s current deal expires at the end of the season, but Milan are protected by an option to extend it for another year. Negotiations over a new contract are nevertheless progressing well and are expected to push its expiry date back by another couple of seasons.
Then comes Rabiot, whose contract expires in 2028 (with the usual option for an additional 12 months). In his case, too, Gerry Cardinale will become personally involved to secure the long-awaited signature.
The English duo of Tomori and Loftus-Cheek will also see their contracts expire in 2027, but for the moment, there are no indications of any potential extensions.
