Andrés Onrubia Ramos, Diario AS and la SER’s correspondent in Paris, wrote the following on X about Athekame, the Milan right-back currently on loan at Lyon:
“Zachary Athekame is Olympique Lyonnais’ best player at the moment. He is probably also one of the top three right-backs in Ligue 1. He has a brutal physical advantage in duels down the right flank, as well as great attacking potential. At this level, Milan would bring him back in January.”
