The AC Milan head coach, Ruben Amorim, spoke to the media in a press conference after the Rossoneri's loss 2-4 against Bolgona at the San Siro.
“We have played some matches in which we have been inconsistent over the course of the 90 minutes for many reasons. Now, what I felt from the very first minute was a lack of energy and clarity in the way we managed the ball. Even when we were ahead, I had the feeling that the team was not the same. That is the feeling I had today: I felt that we were a little tired. When I say tired, I mean that we do not think in the same way, we do not play in the same way. I felt it from the very first minute; in the second half, we conceded two goals very quickly, so we did not even have time to adapt to the equaliser. We were behind within two minutes; first we were winning and then we were losing the match. We had a great opportunity with Camarda to turn the momentum around and equalise the match, but I never felt that the team was comfortable from the beginning, not even in the first half.”
Amorim continued:
“Tomorrow, we will assess the situation and see which players will be available to us. I do not want to talk about this; I was only trying to explain the context of the situation in the match, what I felt during the game. When I look at my players at the moment, I see that they are giving everything: they are putting everything they have out on the pitch. I do not want to talk about the players we do not have available to rotate and keep the team fresh at all times; we simply have to adapt. So tomorrow I will assess the players: I think we may be able to get one or two back, and perhaps we will be able to take a risk with them. We will see.”
Amorim, how did you see Francesco Camarda after the missed goal and the goal he conceded to Bologna?
“In the same way, even before he missed the chance by losing the ball. Today, many of our players lost possession in ways that triggered their transitions, so it was not just Camarda, and that is why I see him in exactly the same way.”
