Bad news is coming from Milanello: Álvaro Morata is forced to stop for a few weeks due to a muscle injury. This is a significant blow for Milan, as they immediately lose their new starting striker, who will have to miss the next two league matches against Parma and Lazio. He will also be unable to answer the call from Spain for the Nations League matches against Serbia and Switzerland.

Morata's physical condition - The latest:

Morata didn't get injured during Milan-Torino but already the day before in training at Milanello. It seemed like a minor muscle issue, so the Spaniard gritted his teeth and made himself available to Fonseca for the match against Torino, coming on in the second half. Unfortunately, the injury worsened, and he will now have to stop for at least three weeks.

The goal is to have him back for Milan-Venezia, the first match after the international break. But the following week, there's the Champions League debut and immediately after the Milan derby, so no risks will be taken. His return to the field is expected in one of those three matches after the break.

Who will replace Morata?

There are three options: the natural substitute is obviously Luka Jović, but he was very disappointing against Torino, so it is possible that Fonseca might give Noah Okafor a chance as the starting striker on Saturday against Parma. Okafor came on strong against Torino and scored the equalizer. The last option is Francesco Camarda, who scored his first two professional goals on Saturday evening in Milan Futuro's 2-1 win over Novara in the Coppa Italia Serie C.

This was relayed via Milan News.
