Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken privately with head coach Paulo Fonseca, reaffirming the club's support but emphasising the need to immediately turn things around.

The manager waited outside while the team finished a long video session in which the Portuguese coach "corrected" some of the mistakes made against Liverpool (not just those on set-pieces that led to the first two goals) and introduced some concepts in preparation for the derby.

The session, scheduled for 11:00 AM CEST, started much later: this time, Zlatan, smiling, greeted the players with pats on the back or hugs as they entered the field and then sat on the bench.

He stayed until the end of training, and when some of the players came to shake his hand before heading to the locker room, he exchanged a few words with them.

These weren’t targeted individual conversations but general encouragement for everyone—Maignan, Theo, Leao, Reijnders, Morata, and others.

Ibrahimovic, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport, had lunch at Milanello and left at 3:00 PM CEST. Waiting for him outside the gates was a group of fans, for whom he signed autographs.

He hopes his words have served as motivation for the team and support for the coach, but he knows that, along with Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada, he might be forced to consider Fonseca’s dismissal. Sarri (the frontrunner) and Tudor are the names gathering the most support. He would prefer to avoid a call with Cardinale to discuss hiring a new coach by the end of September, but if he deems it necessary for Milan’s sake, he is ready to make it.
