One of the hottest topics within AC Milan in recent weeks has undoubtedly been the new stadium, with the dual option of San Siro or San Donato Milanese.
As is well known, the Rossoneri club made the first formal move some time ago to build the new facility in the San Francesco area within the Milanese municipality.
In recent days, however, the situation has changed slightly, and there seems to be a possible reconsideration.
AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni admitted that Plan A remains San Donato, but progress is also being made on the other path.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, there is an important update on the matter: the Italian Revenue Agency has conducted an assessment on San Siro and has presented Milan and Inter with a demand of 200 million euros.
According to the newspaper, while the amount is something Inter might consider negotiable, Milan views it as excessive. In any case, it has been made clear that there is no room for negotiation. At this point, we’ll have to see how the two clubs will proceed.
