Former AC Milan forward and one of the most skillful players in football history, Ronaldinho, who have never failed to amaze throughout his long career, could have actually joined the Rossoneri's club rivals Inter Milan before even landing in the old continent.
According to Grandhotelcalciomercato, the Nerazzurri's ex-president Massimo Moratti had the idea of pairing Ronaldo "The Phenomenon" to Ronaldinho, whose impressive performances in Porto Alegre at the time did not go unnoticed as a host of European giants were keeping tabs on him.
Therefore, in order to understand the feasibility of the operation, the then-technical director of Inter left to Guadalajara, Mexico, where the Brazilian's elder brother was playing. Inter's offer was convincing, as it was the case of many other European clubs.
Eventually, Ronaldinho wanted to be treated like a star which was not possible at Inter with the presence of the Phenomenon, as reported by the same source. As a result, Inter waited for a month before they have gotten the definitive answer: "Thank you, but let's go to Paris".
