Ahead of Cagliari - Milan kick-off at the Unipol Domus stadium, head coach Paulo Fonseca spoke about the importance of this match.
"I expect so (that the team understood the importance of this challenge). We have talked a lot about the importance of this game. It will be a different match compared to the one against Real. It’s a dangerous game; if we don’t have the right attitude, it will be difficult. Cagliari is an aggressive team, they mark man-to-man. We need to understand that this game has to be played differently."

A crucial match to stay close to Napoli and Inter… Fonseca replied:
"We need this game to not lose ground," he told DAZN. "There are still many points up for grabs, it’s true, but we don’t want to lose any more. After this, there’s a break, which isn’t ideal for us because only 4-5 players will stay behind to train (he smiles)."
How have you seen Francesco Camarda? What advice have you given him?
"No special advice. Camarda is mentally strong; he’s a young man with the right mindset. He’s a professional, very positive. I told him he needs to do what he knows how to do. I explained what we want from his role, and he’s a very intelligent player who works hard for the team. I have total confidence in Camarda."
