Italian journalist, Renato Maisani,, wrote an interesting editorial for calciomercato.com to comment on the 0-0 draw between Milan and Juventus.
The journalist criticises the match...
"What one must ask after watching Milan - Juventus is this: Was it more spectacular than Inter-Juventus? More thrilling? More entertaining? On this, there is no room for debate: the answer is no. But what is worth reflecting on is another concept entirely. The match yesterday ended 0-0—was it because the defenses were more focused or because the players on the pitch made fewer mistakes? No. The game at San Siro ended 0-0 because the amount of misplaced passes in midfield, or during 'building out from the back,' reached unacceptable levels for a match of this magnitude."
On Milan and Juventus' mistakes...

"Juventus, too many times, insisted on attempting to play out from the Rossoneri's press, confining themselves to tiny rectangles of space near the sideline. More often than not, they ended up gifting the ball to their opponents or sending it out of bounds. McKennie and Koopmeiners, in particular, made countless errors in decision-making or the accuracy of their passes. Juventus as a whole barely managed to involve Conceicao and Yildiz. Milan, for their part, with Musah and Loftus-Cheek playing in advanced positions, failed to bring quality to the game. They didn’t provide the necessary service for Morata. The rest was determined by Milan’s fear of losing and Juventus’ injury situation, which inevitably makes the draw at San Siro an acceptable result for the Bianconeri."
"However, the fact remains that anyone who watched both matches played by Thiago Motta’s team at San Siro had a much better time a month ago than last night. Considering that the final result was the same, the harsh criticism following the 4-4 Inter-Juventus game seems almost amusing. Back then, some called the match 'an atrocity' or 'a terrifying spectacle.' It would be interesting to know if people enjoyed the Milan-Juventus game more."
