Rafael Leao spoke to DAZN after Bologna-Milan 2-1. The Portuguese forward unlocked the match at the end of the first half, but the lead didn’t last long. Here are his statements:
What explanations do you give yourselves?
“In my opinion, we had the game in our hands, there’s not much to say. Our goal today was to win, as always. We are the ones responsible for today. But that’s how it is. We have to lift our heads, come together, and now there’s a big match against Lazio. We’re playing at home, and we have to win. We are disappointed. The way we conceded the goal, some strange plays… If I talk too much, it gets a bit messy. But some things are obvious. It’s complicated. Their first goal came from a strange situation, but we have to focus on ourselves: we played a fantastic first half and should have continued that way in the second. Now we have another important game against a very difficult team. I hope to play at home and help get the three points.”
Is the match against Lazio your last chance? Leao answered:
“From now until the end of the season, every match is a final. Today ended this way, we are disappointed, but now we face another very tough team.”
Do you still believe in fourth place?
“Of course. There are still many games left. Serie A is difficult; everyone drops points. We are trying to do our job.”
