It is well known that the midfield is the area most in need of investment. In Milan’s squad, there are only two players who can be considered reliable: Fofana and Reijnders. For this reason, the club’s directors are exploring options and have identified Fabbian as a suitable profile. He has made 30 appearances for Bologna across Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Champions League, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist.
His versatility allows him to play as an attacking midfielder, a defensive midfielder, and, if needed, even as a right winger.
Does Milan have competition in the market for Fabbian?
The Rossoneri club's interest could be hindered by their rivals Inter. Despite Giovanni Fabbian's card being owned by Bologna, having been purchased in the summer by the Nerazzurri for around 5 million euros, Inter secured a buy-back clause set at 12 million euros, valid until 2025.
