The sporting director has been chosen, and it will be Fabio Paratici.

Now, the club is working to find a replacement for the Milan bench for Sergio Conceiçao, who will leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season. While awaiting the signature and official announcement, the new Milan sporting director has already started to make moves, as evidenced by the meeting a few days ago with Roberto De Zerbi's agent, who is currently the hottest name. However, there are also two other Italian profiles in the running: Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri, with the latter being, unlike the other two, without a team and therefore free of commitments.

Who will Milan choose?

Today's edition of Tuttosport outlines the pros and cons of the three candidates for the Rossoneri bench.

De Zerbi, the current coach of Marseille, from which he will obviously have to free himself at the end of the season, is currently the first name on the list. The former Sassuolo coach, who has also had other international experiences with Shakhtar Donetsk and Brighton, is liked primarily for two reasons: he loves offensive football and beautiful play, and he has Rossonero DNA since he grew up in Milan’s youth academy as a player. However, if he were to land at Milanello, it would be his first experience on the bench of a top club, where time is short, and results are immediately demanded.

Conte's candidacy, perhaps the preferred one among Milan fans, has only "pros" (he is a winner, knows how to get the best out of all players, and can create a winning mentality within the group), but it also has a huge "con," which is the contract that ties him to Napoli, where he arrived last summer (after waiting for the Rossoneri for a long time). Will De Laurentiis let him go after just one year? In addition to Milan, Juventus is also reportedly considering him for the next season.

As with Conte, the new Milan sporting director Paratici has an excellent relationship with Allegri. Together, the two worked and won a lot at Juventus. With him on the bench, Milan would certainly regain the solidity that has been sorely lacking this year. The Livorno native is undoubtedly a guarantee, and unlike his colleagues, he wouldn’t have to free himself from other clubs but would be available immediately. Among the "cons," there’s also the fact that returns to the Rossoneri bench have not gone very well in the past, as relayed via Milannews.it.
