Gianluigi Donnarumma took advantage of his last day off to go to Roland-Garros and watch the debut match of Jannik Sinner, his great friend. The world number one defeated the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in three sets (6-4, 6-3, 7-6), and after the victory, he paid tribute to the Paris Saint-Germain player in front of the entire crowd at the Philippe-Chatrier court.

"I want to thank all of you, but especially this truly special guy, Gigio," he said during the post-match interview. "Thank you for coming. You have the best goalkeeper. Congratulations."
A few moments later, the three-time Grand Slam winner was asked to comment on the Champions League final between PSG and Inter, scheduled for Saturday (9:00 PM) in Munich. Although he is a big Milan fan, Sinner wouldn’t be against an Inter victory.
"Who will I be rooting for on Saturday? Why are you putting me in this situation?" he said, smiling. "Gigio and I have been friends for a long time. We have our priorities, and he is about to play one of the most important matches of his life. Rooting for whom? I don’t want to say anything because I don’t want to put anyone in a difficult spot. I’m a Milan fan, but as an Italian, it would be nice if an Italian team won. But if it were Gigio, I’d be happy. I hope it’s a great match."
