Speaking at the press conference on the eve of the match against Salzburg, Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen addressed Ardon Jashari's transfer to AC Milan. Here are his words:
“Jashari’s transfer? We’ve always remained calm about it. I think it’s important that there’s clarity now.”
It’s worth noting that the coach did not include the Swiss midfielder in the squad for this match, a clear sign he had already been informed that the deal was virtually done.
Brugge will receive a record fee for Belgian football, while Jashari can finally embrace the Rossoneri colors. He is expected to arrive at Linate Airport at 11 PM, and tomorrow he will undergo medical examinations ahead of signing a five-year contract with a salary of €2.5 million per season.
He ends his time at the Belgian club after one year, with 52 appearances, 4 goals, and having won the awards for both Best Player and Best Young Player of the league.
