With the signings of De Winter and Athekame in defense now official, Milan is working on the final move of a transfer window in which the Rossoneri have been major protagonists, both in arrivals and departures. Only one piece is missing to complete the squad to be entrusted to coach Max Allegri, and we are talking about the striker.
The priority for sporting director Igli Tare is Rasmus Hojlund, the Manchester United center-forward, whom the Red Devils are looking to sell to make room in the squad and lighten the wage bill, given the many acquisitions in the attacking department.

Hojlund's will:
Initially, the Manchester United player had not considered the possibility of returning to the Italian league after his spell with Atalanta. It was not a real refusal to Milan, but rather the Danish striker’s desire to try his luck in the Premier League, despite the arrival of a goalscorer like Šeško. After a meeting with United, however, the player is reportedly changing his mind and has even shown the first signs of openness to a possible move to the Rossoneri.
Milan - Manchester United
In addition to the transfer summit between Hojlund and the management of his current club, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that a meeting has already taken place between Milan and the agents of the former Atalanta player to try to steer the negotiation in the right direction. However, there is still no economic agreement between the two clubs, although they would agree on a loan deal with an option to buy, as pointed out via Calcio Merecato.
Next steps:
Milan’s first official offer to Manchester United is therefore awaited. It is worth noting that the Rossoneri are planning to propose a paid loan of around €6 million, with an option to buy set at about €35 million (for a total deal worth just over €40 million). The Red Devils, however, would like a total package of around €50 million. Negotiations therefore continue between the parties, with sporting director Igli Tare preparing to launch his offensive. We will see if it will be immediately decisive or if extended talks will be necessary. Milan’s plan B is represented by Dušan Vlahović.
