In his regular editorial for Tutto Mercato Web, the Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini reviewed AC Milan’s plans ahead of the next transfer window. In particular, he focused on the striker dilemma, which a sensitive topic at Casa Milan and also for the fans who want a proper forward who can score many goals to help the team secure a top four spot and why not, fight for the Scudetto title:
“The January transfer window is approaching, and Milan is trying to speed up the process to secure a striker. Gimenez’s departure is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility. It is unlikely his future will remain in Italy, despite Roma’s interest. Milan is exploring multiple options to find the right replacement. The new name is Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace, with a contract running until 30 June 2027. The player would be tempted by an experience in Serie A, so the Rossoneri are testing the waters to see if a move could be possible this winter. At the moment, the English club has no intention of selling him, and only an exceptionally high offer might make them consider letting him go mid-season."
Who is Milan tracking?
"Obviously, Tare is working on multiple fronts and continues to maintain contacts for West Ham’s Fullkrug. The German striker remains a very concrete option, and Milan have been pressing for some time. Other solutions also exist. Abroad, the path to Fabio Silva, born 2002, who is not getting much playing time at Borussia Dortmund, should not be overlooked. Other interesting profiles include Panichelli from Strasbourg and Burkardt from Eintracht. In Serie A, the spotlight is on Parma’s Pellegrino, born 2001. In short, Milan will soon make a decision, although everything first depends on Gimenez’s sale.”
