Santiago Gimenez revealed in recent hours that he does not intend to think about his future before completing Mexico's campaign at the Club World Cup. In the meantime, however, there is reportedly a club strongly interested in him: Porto, who are said to be making positive progress in negotiations with AC Milan for the striker.
This is according to 'Deportes Total MX' (as relayed via Milan News), which explains that the Rossoneri centre-forward is a priority target for coach Francesco Farioli.
In Mexico, reports are even describing the negotiations as being at an advanced stage and potentially capable of being concluded within a relatively short time. The deal could be worth around €28 million plus €7 million in bonuses.
For their part, AC Milan are said to have already opened the door to Gimenez's departure. As a result, he could leave the Rossoneri after a year and a half and continue his career in Portugal.
