Milan, Francesco Camarda opts for shoulder surgery but his future this season remains uncertain.
Too much pain, too many doubts about pursuing conservative treatment for both this season and the next: Francesco Camarda has taken the first major decision of his January, choosing to undergo surgery on his injured shoulder. The Italy Under-21 striker will therefore go under the knife soon and will spend the next three months recovering. He is expected to return to action toward the end of the season and, from July, rejoin pre-season training, ready to take on a new campaign. A necessary layoff in order to come back stronger than before.

Milan’s stance regarding Camarda:
The player and his entourage have informed Milan of the decision to proceed with surgery, and the Rossoneri are now pushing to terminate the loan of the 2008-born striker to Lecce. The club’s intention is to oversee the entire rehabilitation process at Milanello with their own medical staff. This firm and clear position, however, is clashing with Lecce’s stance, as they want to honour the agreement signed last summer. The first meeting between the two clubs, held last Sunday after the match at San Siro, had already brought this difference of views to the surface, as relayed via Calcio Mercato.
New meeting
AC Milan are not backing down and have requested another meeting with Lecce to define Camarda’s future. Also at stake is the €1 million in development bonuses, which Lecce are unwilling to give up. The terms of the deal include a €3 million option to buy in favour of the 'Salento' club and a €4 million buy-back clause for the Rossoneri. The feeling is that only the payment of a penalty fee to Lecce could unlock the situation in line with the Rossoneri’s wishes.
