On his YouTube channel, Carlo Pellegatti reports a rumour coming from England regarding the possible arrival of John Stones at AC Milan. These were his words:
"A very intriguing rumour is coming out of England: Milan could be interested in signing a player of outstanding technical quality and immense experience. Milan would be bringing an experienced player into the heart of the defence. The player, who was already being discussed last season, is John Stones, the Manchester City defender whose contract expires in June 2026. After ten years at City, he has reportedly decided, by mutual agreement, to embark on a new adventure elsewhere."
"He has the feet of a top-class deep-lying playmaker, and Amorim is specifically looking for a defender who can build play from the back with exceptional quality and a high level of ability. In terms of style, class and technique, when I said he could be the Modrić of defenders, I certainly wasn't exaggerating."
"So this rumour is circulating. Milan could sign him without paying a transfer fee, of course, since there would be no fee for his registration, although they would need to pay John Stones' wages. Even so, it would be a major signing without having to spend money on a transfer."
