Christopher Nkunku was decisive in AC Milan’s 1–2 win away at Genoa. He was the one who intercepted Amorim’s back pass towards Bijlow, who brought him down, resulting in a penalty that Nkunku himself converted to make it 0–1.

This is the French striker’s second consecutive goal from the penalty spot, and he has an impressive record in this league season, as relayed via those at Milannews.it.

Nkunku, a perfect penalty taker: the statistic

Of the seven league goals scored by the former Chelsea player, five have come from penalties. The striking thing is that he has a 100% conversion rate, having scored all five penalties he has taken against Verona, Como, Bologna, Atalanta and Genoa. A true marksman, and it is no coincidence that he took responsibility for the penalty he won today.

Nkunku now two goals away from a double-digit season tally:

With his goal against Genoa, Christopher Nkunku has reached eight goals this season, seven of which are in the league (two from open play) and one in the Coppa Italia, in the second round against Lecce. With one match still to play against Cagliari next weekend, there are still 90 minutes left for him to try to reach 10 goals for the season in an AC Milan shirt. Much will also depend on the type of attacking partnership Allegri chooses for the decisive match for Champions League qualification, given Leão’s return from suspension and Pulisic’s positive impact off the bench against Genoa.
