Andrea Ramazzotti, a journalist, expressed himself as follows in La Gazzetta dello Sport regarding the guarantees set for Milan by Ralf Rangnick:
“The Austria national team coach has spoken twice with the founder of RedBird Capital Partners, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Calvelli. He has said he is willing to embrace Milan’s project, but has set as conditions the choice of the coach, the sporting director, the football philosophy for the youth academy, and the scouting staff. A true ‘complete package’, with a number of his own people well into double figures. In addition, a non-negotiable demand: wide decision-making authority. In other words, the ability to identify players without having to clash with Ibrahimovic, who is not registered as a Milan employee but is a partner of Cardinale in RedBird and his adviser. It is precisely this latter point on which Rangnick is seeking clarity."
Rangnick at Milan: the Austrian view...
"Austria, already working in California (in Santa Barbara), has proposed extending his contract until Euro 2028, and the federation president made this move public on Friday (‘We want him to stay for another two years’). Ralf now wants to bring the matter to a conclusion, with a yes or no from Milan, which has approached him. He does not intend to arrive at the first meeting, in ten days’ time, with the match against Jordan, with uncertainty. In the event of an agreement with Milan, managing the World Cup might not be easy; he is aware of this himself, which is why Austria hopes for the extension. The alternative to Rangnick is Ramon Planes, former Barcelona."
