Time is passing ever more quickly, and AC Milan’s summer still does not seem ready to get properly underway, quite the opposite, in fact. The delay the Rossoneri hierarchy is running behind its own roadmap is incredible, almost surreal: as of 14 June, the club has still not officially announced a head coach, chief executive officer, or sporting director.

No rush, apparently. Meanwhile, the situation regarding the transfer market also appears rather critical. Around Milanello, there seems to be a general exodus underway. From the (likely) departure of Youssouf Fofana to the delicate situations involving Adrien Rabiot and Luka Modrić. There may, however, be one piece of positive news amid all this chaos, a confirmation that would make many Milan supporters happy.

Will Youssouf Fofana leave AC Milan?

The relationship between the French midfielder and Milan is a story that never fully blossomed, marked by both positive moments and thoroughly disappointing situations. Having arrived from Monaco in the summer of 2024 for €26 million, the Rossoneri holding midfielder has several admirers across Europe as well as in Saudi Arabia.

In January, he was also approached by Fenerbahçe in Turkey, but the Frenchman chose not to move while the season was still in progress. Now, however, the situation has changed completely: it is summer, and the player is on his way out. Wearing the Milan shirt, Fofana has made 88 official appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing no fewer than 13 assists.

From Modric to Rabiot and Jashari:

There are many situations, and each is different from the others. As for Luka Modrić’s future, nothing has yet been decided. Luka first wants to know who Milan’s new head coach will be and intends to speak with him to understand his intentions regarding the technical and tactical identity that Massimiliano Allegri’s successor wishes to give the team. Only after that discussion will the Croatian superstar make his final decision, as relayed via Milan News.

Adrien Rabiot’s future is also hanging by a thread. Having arrived in the final days of last August solely at the insistence of manager Allegri, the Frenchman has not yet spoken with the club. The positive aspect? The two years remaining on his contract with the Diavolo. However, it cannot be ruled out that he could be persuaded by Max, especially given Milan’s inability to guarantee him participation in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Amid all this uncertainty, there could nevertheless be one confirmation: Ardon Jashari. The Swiss talent is being courted by half of Europe and, in Italy, by Como, Atalanta, and Juventus. However, the Rossoneri midfielder has already made his position clear to his agents in recent days: his strong desire is to stay. Beyond contractual considerations, he wants to test himself and prove he is capable over the course of a “proper” season, one not affected by a serious injury such as the one he suffered last September. This would be welcome news for Milan’s midfield, which will absolutely need to be strengthened with new, high-quality additions.
