Massimiliano Allegri’s future now appears to be settled. According to SportMediaset, the ex Rossoneri coach is close to joining Napoli, but he must first complete the final administrative formalities linked to his spell at AC Milan.
An agreement with the Neapolitan club is already in place, while the contract termination with the Rossoneri still needs to be officially finalised. He was dismissed at the end of last season after failing to secure qualification for the Champions League.
According to the source, the situation should be resolved over the weekend. Between Saturday and Sunday, Allegri is expected to formally be released from Milan, a necessary step before he can sign his new contract with Napoli.
Barring any last-minute surprises, the Italian coach is ready to begin a new chapter in Naples, definitively putting his spell at Milan behind him.
