For a club like Milan, the lost revenue from failing to qualify for next season's Champions League will have a significant impact on the finances available for this summer's transfer market. For this reason, the squad will need to be reshaped and some players sacrificed, in order to prevent the club's accounts from ending the year in the red—a situation that has not been seen at Casa Milan for quite some time.
Regarding this issue, La Gazzetta dello Sport headlined this morning:
"Without the Champions League, sales are necessary. Raising funds is difficult."
This is also because several players will return from loan spells after being sent back by the clubs they played for last season, having failed to fully convince. Chukwueze and Musah, because of their characteristics, could be given a second chance at Milan, but there would still be other players who need to be moved on, and accomplishing this task without a proper management structure in place is complicated.
