According to SportMediaset on Italia Uno, Ruben Amorim is currently on holiday but remains in contact with Sporting Lisbon's management because he wants to bring Morten Hjulmand to AC Milan. Hjulmand, a midfielder born in 1999, previously played in Italy for Lecce.
As per the report, the Danish player believes his time at the Portuguese club has come to an end and, in recent months, secured a promise from the club president that he would be allowed to leave this summer for around €35 million.
Atlético Madrid are also interested in the player, although they currently have other priorities. Milan will attempt a move for Hjulmand in the coming days, and the player has already spoken with Amorim.
In addition to the Danish midfielder, the new Milan coach is also targeting another Sporting Lisbon player, namely Pedro Gonçalves, a wide attacker valued at around €25–30 million. His agent is Jorge Mendes, the well-known Portuguese representative who also manages Gonçalo Ramos, Milan's target for the striker position. The Rossoneri want to reach an agreement with the player first and then open talks with Paris Saint-Germain in an attempt to find a deal.
