This morning's edition of Tuttosport carries the following headline regarding AC Milan's transfer market activity:
"Move for Inácio and Trincão. Stones offered as his contract winds down."
After securing the signing of Gonçalo Ramos in attack, the Rossoneri are now working to strengthen their defence. However, they have been forced to accept Benfica's refusal to sell Antonio Silva. The Portuguese club rejected Milan's offer of €20 million plus bonuses and demanded more than €30 million, a fee the Rossoneri consider excessive given that the player is under contract only until 2027.
As a result, Milan are now assessing other defensive options, including two players whom Ruben Amorim knows very well, having been the coach who promoted them at Sporting Lisbon: Gonçalo Inácio and Ousmane Diomande, both of whom are valued at around €40 million.
The Rossoneri have also been offered John Stones, who is expected to leave Manchester City on a free transfer.
Returning to the attack, the club based on Via Aldo Rossi, with the assistance of Jorge Mendes, are trying to prise Francisco Trincão away from Sporting Lisbon. Meanwhile, there are also rumours of a possible return to Milanello for Mattia Liberali.
