Mario Gila is on the verge of joining Milan!
Following the breakthrough on Thursday, 2 July, which we previously reported, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with the player and his agent on a five-year contract worth a net salary of €5 million per season. Between Monday and Tuesday, the club hopes to finalise a deal with Lazio as well, and they are aware of the asking price of €30 million, made up of €25 million fixed plus €5 million in bonuses.
Napoli have now been definitively overtaken, including on the contract terms, as the Azzurri were offering a slightly lower salary. Since the two clubs had never reached an agreement—because Napoli first need to complete some outgoing transfers—Milan stepped into the race and now have the 2000-born Spanish centre-back firmly in their grasp. This was pointed out via Gianluca Di Marzio.
