As first reported by Sky Sport last night and confirmed today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gerry Cardinale is expected at Milanello today to visit the squad and head coach Ruben Amorim. The Rossoneri owner returns to the Carnago training centre after attending the first day of pre-season, when he arrived by helicopter in the morning and left later that afternoon.
Cardinale at Milanello ahead of pre-season tour
The RedBird founder will meet with the players and Amorim, with whom he is also expected to hold a transfer market summit. Hendrik Almstadt and Bobby Gardiner, representing the club's management, are also likely to attend the meeting. The summit comes just before the squad departs for its pre-season tour of Australia and Indonesia, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, the day after Saturday's friendly against Celtic in Scotland.
An increasingly regular presence
As highlighted by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Cardinale's presence around Milan has become increasingly frequent. This will be his third visit to Milanello in the space of a month. He welcomed Ruben Amorim on 7 July and was also present for the club's first day of pre-season training on 13 July.
