Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna spoke at a press conference from the club’s pre-season training camp in Dimaro Folgarida. During the media session, the Partenopei executive revealed a behind-the-scenes detail about Mario Gila, who recently joined AC Milan, and also discussed his working relationship with new head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Manna said:
"We are continuing to assess how to strengthen our defence. As for Mario Gila, all I can say is that we monitored him because he represented a market opportunity. Allegri? We speak every day. He is highly motivated after a season in which, for the first time, he failed to achieve his objective. We believe we can go all the way in every competition."
