Fate has been ironic with both Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez, who in recent days have been working at the Milanello Sports Centre to recover from the injuries they suffered in their respective final World Cup matches. They were both involved in the Round of 16: the United States were eliminated by Belgium, Mexico by England, and the two Rossoneri players left the pitch carrying injuries. Given their physical condition, once their holidays ended, both returned directly to Milan to continue their recovery programmes.
Pulisic-Gimenez: opposite paths ahead
While the two Milan players have followed a similar path in recent months, in the near future the American and the Mexican will find themselves facing a crossroads where one will inevitably take the right path and the other the left. This morning, QS ran the headline:
"Milan, opposite destinies. Pulisic is now untouchable, doors open for Gimenez."
The subheading adds: "The two forwards are working at Carnago after the injuries suffered at the World Cup. Ramos is expected in Australia today, with Leao and Ramos set to train with the group."
