As announced in the days leading up to the event and in recent hours, both Milan owner Gerry Cardinale and president Paolo Scaroni are attending Franco Baresi’s funeral on behalf of the Rossoneri club.
Like all the other attendees, Cardinale and Scaroni arrived by passing through two lines of AC Milan supporters gathered outside the church. As they made their way through the crowd, they were met with a few whistles, as relayed via Milan News, though not from the Curva Sud, which had communicated that the day would be dedicated entirely and exclusively to Captain Franco Baresi.
Shortly afterwards, Giuseppe Marotta and Milan mayor Beppe Sala also arrived.
