The Gazzetta dello Sport website has dug up an interesting superstition. There is a curious possibility involving Ruben Amorim: if he manages to beat Juventus in Turin, he would become the first Milan manager since 1958 to win his first three league matches in charge of the Rossoneri.
It is an achievement that even great coaches such as Arrigo Sacchi, Fabio Capello and Carlo Ancelotti failed to accomplish. Sacchi suffered a defeat as early as the second matchday in 1987, Capello drew against Juventus on the third matchday in 1991, while Ancelotti, who took over in 2001, began his tenure with a 0-0 draw against Piacenza.
In the history of the Diavolo, only three managers had previously recorded three consecutive wins at the start of their Serie A tenure: Mario Sperone in 1952, Gipo Viani in 1956 and Luigi "Cina" Bonizzoni in 1958.
