Three weeks of international duty represent a new situation that the various Serie A clubs are dealing with in different ways. Some will continue with their regular training schedule despite the large number of players away on international duty with national teams around the world, while others, such as Milan and Inter, have given their players a week off before returning to work ahead of the resumption of the season.
The Rossoneri will return to Milanello on Tuesday, September 29, although numbers will naturally be reduced given the high number of Milan players away with their respective national teams, with as many as 15 called up.
Despite the week off, Ruben Amorim will remain in Milan with his family, apart from a brief one-day trip to Portugal for matters related to his coaching licence.
Meanwhile, Milan have scheduled a behind-closed-doors friendly against Padova at Milanello on Friday, October 2, with kick-off at 11:30 AM CEST, as relayed via 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' in this morning's print edition. Given the absence of so many internationals, players from Milan Futuro or the Primavera are also likely to feature.
