Yesterday, Strahinja Pavlovic took to the pitch again for Serbia, this time against the Netherlands. The match, valid for the second round of the Nations League in Group B, saw the Oranje win 2–1 thanks to a brace from Meerdink. The hosts’ goal from former Rossoneri player Jovic was not enough.
Milan defender Pavlovic was substituted in the 71st minute and, as he left the pitch, he appeared not to be at 100% physically, as several Serbian media outlets also noted this morning.
According to what has been reported by Milan News, however, the defender has not suffered an injury but is instead feeling fatigued. To date, Pavlovic has not missed a single match: he has played every game for Milan, both in Serie A and the Europa League, and also started Serbia’s opening Nations League match against Greece.
He has no physical problems; it is simply a case of accumulated fatigue. He could therefore miss the October 1 match away to Germany. Milan hope the defender will be managed in the best possible way, without taking any unnecessary risks.
