While waiting to return to the market in January to address some gaps, Milan are working on two contract renewals that are a priority for Gerry Cardinale’s club, who want to tie down the most important players in the squad: Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic, whose contracts expire in 2028 and 2027 respectively. Both the midfielder and the forward are regarded as two fundamental pieces of the new Milan project, and their renewals are therefore considered essential at Casa Milan.

Latest on Rabiot's renewal
The Corriere dello Sport reported this morning, recalling Ruben Amorim’s comments on Rabiot from a few weeks ago: "I didn’t know him before I arrived here," he said ahead of the match against Venezia. "He is crucial to our project. I love everything about him and I would like him to stay at Milan. If possible, I would like his contract to be renewed. He knows that. He is very professional, plays for the French national team and helps the younger players a lot in every training session. He is a key player for us." Those comments leave no doubt about how the Portuguese coach views him, considering the Frenchman absolutely central to his project. Rabiot’s contract expires in 2028, with the possibility of unilaterally extending it until 2029, but Cardinale’s intention is to reach a new agreement soon that would keep him at Milan until 2031, while maintaining his current salary of €5 million net per season.
What about Pulisic's contractual situation with Milan?
In recent days, Pulisic explained that he is very happy at Milan and, for this reason, wants to extend his contract soon. His current deal expires in 2027 and, once again, there is an option in favour of the Rossoneri to extend it for another year. However, as with Rabiot, Cardinale would like to reach a new direct agreement with Captain America until 2031, with a salary increase. Both Rabiot and Pulisic’s renewals will be discussed in the coming weeks, but their extensions are already on the agenda at Casa Milan.
