Simon Kjaer, veteran and star defender of Denmark and AC Milan had a good season with the Rossoneri and with his national team. The player's Euro adventure has come to an end after exiting the tournament against England yesterday due to a loss 2-1.
Now, Kjaer can rest for some time before reporting to Milanello to prepare for the new coming season. AC Milan management, for their part, esteem the 32-year-old very highly and are aware of his qualities that characterise his leadership and maturity.
The Dane's contract runs out next year and Paolo Maldini would like to continue working with him as he is an important piece for Stefano Pioli's plans.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan will hold talks with Simon Kjaer in order to discuss a contract renewal soon.
This has been already confirmed by the player's agent, Mikkel Beck, who did say just recently in an interview: "After the European championship we will talk about renewal with Milan."
