AC Milan, after the exit of Hakan Calhanoglu on a free to city rivals Internazionale, are looking for an attacking midfielder that would suit the playstyle and ideas of Stefano Pioli.
The idea is to find the perfect fit for the 4-2-3-1 formation, someone who can play really well between the lines and support the striker with good quality and technique.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, in today's edition, explains that that while we wait for the signing of the playmaker and arrival of Brahim Diaz on a new loan deal from Real Madrid, the only player who can be deployed as an attacking midfielder at Milanello right now is Rade Krunic.
Pioli likes Rade Krunic's availability and flexibility on the field as he used him as a rotation option last season in multiple areas where the team was lacking options.
It remains to be seen, though, when will Milan make more concrete moves on this front and secure a good profile to fill the number 10 role which was vacated by Calhanoglu.
