Danish fullback Sara Thrige Andersen, announced as a new AC Milan player, shed a light on some interesting topics on her first interview to Milan TV.
Here’s what she said:
On joining Milan:
“I feel very proud and happy to start this journey. It is a great club with a great history and now the women’s team is doing fine, and I can't wait to be a part of the journey. They want to improve, and they want to win, and I want to be a part of it”
On her playing style:
“I'm good at running, so, I like to run up and down the pitch at my position, so I can't wait to to be on a team that wants to ball and to play around. I think I can add that I know something about going into these games, big games, what it feels like, because it's very exciting to be a part of those games and, also, maybe I'll try to transmit some tranquility and I hope I can affect other players.”
On why she left Denmark:
“I needed a new challenge, that's why I wanted to play outside from Denmark and this was just a great opportunity to become even better on and off the pitch and that's why I'm here now.”
On Giacinti:
“I can't wait to meet her and to be a teammate. I think she is strong in the attack, she has so many qualities and she's always score, so of course it's nice to be on her team now.”
On Kjaer:
“It'll be nice to meet him someday, but I don't know we'll just have to wait and see, but I'm proud to be here and it's really nice that he's also here.”
On her role models:
“I've actually never had a role model. I always just been saying that I want to be the best. I can wait to become better down here, I'm pretty sure it's the right place to be.”
On picking the #3 shirt:
“I know Maldini played with that number and he's special for the club, so I'm really proud that I can also play in that number. Hopefully, I will also create something good like he did.”
On her dream at AC Milan:
“Of course I have a dream. With this team I want to win, I want to win league and the national cup and, hopefully, you will do well in the Champions League.”
On the fans:
“I just want to say that I can't wait to meet them all, I’ve heard that there is a lot of people at the stadium when you are playing games and I can't wait to feel the support and just be a part of this this team and this club. I'm really excited.”
