Icelandic defender Guðný Árnadóttir joined AC Milan after her loan spell at Napoli and spoke to Milan TV’s microphone about several topics on her first interview as a rossonera.
Here’s her words:
On being at AC Milan:
“It feels great to be here, it feels good to see all the history, it's a great club and I want to help the team to feel better and hopefully we can do something this year.”
On playing in the Champions League:
“It feels amazing, it's the biggest competition and I've never been a part of it before, so, I'm just really like excited to see how we can do in the Champions League.”
On Serie A:
“I got a lot of experience in the league, it's a little bit different than I'm used to playing so but it was very fun, and I learned a lot, so I feel like I'm more ready to come here I'm just ready to come and play for this big club.”
On her career experience:
“It's a lot different it's a lot bigger and I'm used to smaller towns, to smaller country, so its biggest, a lot of change but I like it and I'm excited to explore more.”
On her playing style:
“I am a centre-back and my strengths are speed, passing and I want to improve, to become a better player, improve my communication on the pitch, get use the team and play well for the team.”
On her role models:
“From all Icelandic players I've played with, Margret Lara Vioarsdottir is one of the best woman player in history, so playing with big players inspires me.”
On her expectations at AC Milan:
“We want to win trophies, so, yeah, I would love to win the trophy with this team.”
