After making his return to the club official on a 2-year-loan period, Brahim Diaz spoke to to AC Milan's official channel and said the following:
"I am very happy to be here again in this great club. I am very happy with everything we did last year, but now a new season begins in which we will give our best. These colours deserve 100% of my effort and that's what I'm going to do."
On the U21 European Championship:
" The U21 European Championship was a wonderful experience, I got on very well with my teammates and we had a good tournament. I think we deserved more, but I was still happy. It was an extra, very positive experience, but now we need to look forward, towards the future. There will still be many experiences to live."
On the first goal in the senior Spanish national team:
"The first goal with the senior Spanish national team is one of the best moments of my career, even if I remember many positive experiences, unforgettable days or unique moments. The circumstances have allowed many players to make their debut against Lithuania, it was wonderful to score at the debut: it made me super happy, but I also experienced many wonderful and unforgettable moments with Milan last year."
On the choice of the number 10 jersey:
"21 is a number that I like very much, but it is equally true that I have always liked 10 too: it is a unique number in the history of Milan. I know it is heavy and requires great responsibility for the value that Milan has and for its colours. I will give my best for the fans. I feel that I can and want to do it. I love this club , I want to give my best and I will take number 10, I like it very much and it has a unique importance in the Rossoneri history. This gives me unique motivations and sensations, I will show my talent I will sweat to the last drop of blood for this great club and I will fight to have a great season."
On last season:
"Last year I had a great time here, I had a lot of fun and I grasped the greatness of this club. This year we hope to be able to do much better, even if last season was a very positive one: now there is another season to face and Milan deserve that this group is up to par. I believe we are all ready to give our best and achieve great goals."
On coach Stefano Pioli:
"The union of the group is all thanks to Mr. Pioli, as well as everything we have achieved: he has built a very good group, with experienced players and young players who all want to grow together. Thanks to him we learned a lot, he taught us many things: last year, under his guidance, we had a rather stable path and spent a very positive season. Now we need to grow further, following the coach, to make another great and unique season."
Brahim Diaz was asked if he talked with Carlo Ancelotti...
"With Ancelotti we talked about Milan, he has the Rossoneri heart and he loves this club very much. He told me to give my all for this team, it is such a great club: he was very happy with my return to Milan. I spent very nice days with him, we talked a lot about Milan and the greatness of this club."
About the fans...
"I can't wait for the fans to return to the stadium. For me it was a unique experience, to see how last year they have always been by our side, supporting us. They were fundamental for us, they made us give even more. Milan have fans all over the world and they are incredible: I can only tell them to continue to be by our side, we will give our best. It is a pleasure and an honor to have their support. I send a greeting to all the fans. I am very happy to be here, you are incredibly top fans.
