Legendary former coach of AC Milan, the Italian 75-year-old Arrigo Sacchi, in his usual piece to La Gazzetta dello Sport, commented on the Rossoneri team performance against Atlético Madrid:
"AC Milan's Pioli beat Atlético and now they can have hope. The match was balanced in the first 45 minutes, with few chances overall."
"The second half was like the first until Ibrahimovic entered, who gave confidence to his teammates. Bakayoko had a chance to score a few minutes later, but the shot was a little weak and it was in the middle. But, Milan did not lose confidence."
Sacchi continued:
"Then, Messias scored after a magnificent cross from Kessie. Then, Milan took revenge for the undeserved defeat at San Siro. There is courage, and the team is on the right path."
